Our Story

Being a migrant myself landed down under from Hong Kong over 20 years ago, I totally understand the thrills of a big move.

As a skilled graduate from the University of Queensland, I was fortunate to be able to obtain permanent residency relatively hassle-free (except for having to fill in paper-based application forms and submit all documents by courier back in those days!). However, not all migration pathways are as smooth as it might seem.

After successfully obtaining Australian citizenship, I frequently get asked by friends and families about their potential migration pathways. I came across cases where they suffered irreversible consequences because they did not fully understand visa requirements and conditions. They had no one cautioned them on the associated risks of their chosen migration pathways. In some cases, they were barred from re-entering Australia for a considerable period of time which led to disruption of both career and personal plans.

That was the moment when I decided to pursue my career in Migration Law.
